Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Elizabeth Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, the information received is limited to what you include in the message and is used to respond.
Automatic Information
Hosting systems create standard server logs, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Those records are reviewed in aggregate to operate the service and understand general readership. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited information helps operate the service, diagnose technical problems, measure traffic, and improve its content. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create individual visitor profiles.
External Links
Links may lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The privacy rules of those destinations control information submitted there, not this policy. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Providers that host or support the service may process server-log information on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process and is not otherwise shared.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. No account system is offered, so the service does not hold a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, use the contact route and it will be deleted.
New Jersey Data Rights
The New Jersey Data Privacy Law, P.L. 2023, c. 266, codified at N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq. and effective January 15, 2025, gives qualifying consumers rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by covered controllers and to opt out of certain processing. Because Elizabeth Residents Directory keeps very little visitor information, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or available server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request.
That law does not erase public government records or alter the separate rules that control them. Requests to change an Elizabeth, Union County, or New Jersey government record must go to its responsible custodian, not to this private reference service.
